Vaginal delivery is a natural and physiological process by which a baby is born through the birth canal or vagina, offering certain advantages like lesser blood loss and shorter recovery time for the mother. The labor pains help in maturation of the lungs of the babies by causing stress to the baby.
Normal delivery also eases the management of the next pregnancy as the uterus without a scar is sturdy enough to safely carry the pregnancy to term, whereas although rare, but there are chances of rupture of the uterus while carrying the subsequent pregnancy at the weak previous scar site. Rupture of uterus is a life-threatening complication for both mother and the child.
Roots of the child in the next pregnancy may go deep in the scar of previous pregnancy and may not allow the separation of the roots after the delivery leading to heavy bleeding.
